The Echelon Cycles challenge ride was a huge success with 90 riders taking part. Since it was Mother’s Day, the majority of riders enjoyed the shorter, rolling 42 mile route taking in Pershore, Upton, Welland, Tewkesbury and returning via Bredon hill. This ensured a return in time for lunch! About 30 riders took part in the longer 65 mile route which extended from the shorter route to include climbs over the Hollybush, Wellington Heath and Evendine.
It was lovely to see a large proportion of women taking part in what is usually a very male-dominated event.
A delicious selection of homemade cakes welcomed the riders back at Echelon headquarters.
Many thanks to all who took part as it enabled a substantial donation to be made to the local Air Ambulance.
We are hoping to do a similar late season event, so keep an eye on this website / social media.
